Alicante will be present at Barcelona Wine Week.

The Alicante Protected Designation of Origin will once again be present at Barcelona Wine Week, the most important wine event organized at the Montjuic Barcelona venue from April 4-6.  In total, 10 of their wineries will attend the fair, one of the most anticipated of the year, after it was delayed in January and canceled by the pandemic after its first edition in 2020.

The attending wineries, Bocopa, Finca Collado, Bodegas Pinoso, Las Virtudes, Bodegas Riko, Bodegas Xaló, Bodeges Volver, MG Wines, and Winexfood will all be grouped in the “Alicante Land” area located at the entrance pavillion of the Montjuic fairgrounds. Also joining is the distributor for Bodegas Mendoza, resulting in Alicante being one of the most defined areas by having all its regions and types of wines represented.

The PDO Alicante is one of the regions with the oldest history in Spain. It´s 10,200 hectares of vineyards, with the majority of vines of the Monastrell or Mourvèdre variety and secondly, Muscat, use organic farming. It is considered one of the most valued areas for their impressive renewal of wine styles and excellent value for money.
