03 Mar 2015 Vinos Alicante DOP at Prowein 2015
Wines from Spain’s highest ranking region of the moment exhibit at the world’s most important wine fair.
Prowein, which will be held from 15 to 17 March in Düsseldorf, is unquestionably one of the Europe’s leading international wine exhibitions. It attracts representatives of more wine-producing areas and clients from more countries than any other, and it is an extremely well-established event.
Nine wine producers from Alicante will be there to represent the ‘Denominación de Origen Alicante‘, recently tipped as Spain’s highest ranking region by influential Spanish wine guide Guia Peñín. These producers are responsible for some of the area’s finest treasures. These include monastrell wines, reds which embody the Mediterranean character to perfection, while its muscat wines are fresh and floral having been created with fruit from vines bordering the sea. Then there’s Fondillón, a wine produced exclusively by Bodegas Bocopa.
Wine producers La Bodega de Pinoso, Francisco Gomez, Bodegas Mendoza, Finca Collado and Bocopa will be exhibiting together on the Valencia Region stand (Hall 10, stand D116). Representatives of all these firms will also be in the free tasting zone with several of the wines they are promoting.
Likewise, Vins del Comtat (Hall 10, stand H123) will be there to showcase a new “monastrell”, a single-variety made with grapes from old vines.
Sierra Salinas and Finca Lagunilla (both MG Wines companies) will be in Hall 10 on Stand A81. They will be presenting new vintages of unique products such as “Mira Salinas” and “Puerto Salinas“, a new white wine.
Bodegas Volver will be promoting its successful “Tarima” and “Triga” ranges on stand C124, also in Hall 10.
Last but not least, wines by El Sequé (Grupo Artadi) de Pinoso, will be exhibited in Hall16 on stand K58.
